Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM)

bullet1 Elevate

Elevate is the fourth of the five focusing steps of the Theory of Constraints (TOC). It means getting more of the constraining resource. Frequently many cycles of the first three steps are required before the constraint must be elevated. Elevating a resource (such as hiring more people or buying more machines) usually requires investment ($) and time, while exploiting and subordinating can happen immediately and usually cost little or nothing.
